Writing and reading are two main subjects. They are very important subjects that you should have a lot of knowledge. Reading is very important for you to know in life. If you do not know how to read, you will have a hard time in the future, especially if you have a job. Without knowing to read you will not know how to do anything. For example, finding directions, or learning something.

When I was younger around five years old, I was read to for the first time. My mother always read different books to me. By reading to me every day, she felt it will help me gain some knowledge, and also help my listening skills. My mom read to me every night before I went to sleep. All of my family members always read, so it was a great example for me when I was younger. Every time anyone in my family read a book, I would also read with them. In addition she would ask me questions about the book. The first book she read to me was Dr. Seuss. I had collections of Dr. Seuss books when I was younger. Dr. Seuss books are great for learners at a young age. All kids enjoy reading Dr. Seuss books. It was very enjoyable to me, and that book became one of my favorite books to read in my childhood. By my mother reading to me, it helped me to like reading. Being able to read, made me even smarter, with a lot more common sense. I think my mother read to me from a young age, because she wanted to prepare me. By the time I entered kindergarten, I already knew how to read and also write a few words.

From then I have always enjoyed reading. It has become one of my favorite subjects. It helped me to understand things better and even helped me to speak more intelligent and fluently. Every day I am reading something whether it is outside of school or during school. One of my hobbies is reading. If I am bored I always get a book to read. Also before I go to sleep every night I would read a book, or a few pages out of a novel. Learning to read from a young age helps you read very fast and accurately. It will help you understand what you’re reading.

Reading from a young age is very beneficial to your education. You will go from reading baby books perfectly, to reading a very difficult novel with no problems understanding it. My mother always told me reading is very important when I was younger. Since then I became aware of reading. As I am older I got to understand why she would always read to me every night. As a business major, reading is very important. I always read to my younger siblings, because I was taught by my mother how important reading is. Also I know it would help my younger siblings, just as it benefited me.

I find reading very fundamental. It is very interesting and you learn something new

every time you read. I would encourage any and everyone to read. It’s something that is

very important. Starting to read at a young age, would definitely help you in the future. I

always got good grades in school from reading and also writing. My mother made a great

impact on me.

  1. You have a lot of good ideas here, but you repeat yourself frequently and speak in generalities. For a revision you should stick to chronological order, and talk about a specific book/person for each point as you do so well about your mother and Dr. Seuss.
