Visual Analysis Essay


The website I chose to analyze and critique is www.collegetermpapers.com. Fonts, colors and graphics are very important elements in a website. This element brings life into the website. It persuades people to click on that particular website. The home page of this website is very interesting. It’s not the most eye catching website, but the page still has a unique attraction to it. Making a website look attracted is what brings the audience. Without any of these elements, people would not find the website interesting or eye catching.
The first thing that you will notice on the page is the colors. The colors are s few different shades of blue, red, and white. The color on the website is what brings it out. All the color is a blend between the background and font colors, along with the colors that are in the graphics on the page. The website has a background that has stripes that are blue with a mixture of white. Some of the stripes in the background you can see and some stripes are translucent. The website has a layout that is very simple and easy to read. You won’t have any trouble finding what you need. It’s broken up into three rectangular sections. The colors are very noticeable because there are so vibrant. There are also neutral colors on the website, which I think make the website a little more sophisticated. Also the colors used on the website makes the fonts and graphics stand out. It doesn’t make the website boring. It makes the website looks very unique.
In addition, there are many graphics added to this website. There is a picture at the top left corner, where there is two girls smiling with a book in one of their hands and behind them is a circle glass that looks almost like a c.d. Also on this website there is a white glare at the top of the page, which makes it attracts people. There are many different shapes and symbols on the website. At the bottom left corner there is a girl reading a book. The graphics used on the page, makes the page looks well detailed and to the point of the website.
In my opinion, I think the websites has these graphics because it has to do with the whole idea of the website. It has college students, books, and papers to show that what the website is all about. The graphics makes up majority of the website. It’s a way of persuading college students to buy terms papers. Also using graphics on the website helps people to interpret what the website is all about. For example, it’s like playing the game charades; you watch and interpret what someone is acting out.
Some of the fonts are small, and the bigger font is the important details. The fonts on the website are easy to read. I think they used a simple font, so the website wouldn’t be so confusing to read. Using simple fonts will encourage students to use the websites. The simple fonts on the page, will make the website easy to comprehend and to the point. Also it is more presentable. The fonts on the websites are different sizes. The main topics are bigger, and the fonts are a little smaller for the minor details on the website. Having the fonts different sizes, makes it easier to find things, and for certain important details to stand out. It makes the page looks less confusing and everything doesn’t look jumbled together.
The different types of color, fonts, and graphics used in this website, are what make it up. Without these particular elements the website would be nothing. It part of the reason why it caught my attention. These are the main things that a website should have. It makes the website flows smoothly. It influences people to go and look at the website. Especially if a website a trying to sell something, this element helps a lot.
